School Council

Each class from years FS2 to Y6 elect two children to be their representatives on the school council. They meet regularly to discuss suggestions put forward by their class and manage projects. The purpose of the school council is to be a voice for the children in the school. They also organise fundraising activities.

School council members are expected to take the role of making sure playtime friendships are supported, to be good role models and ambassadors’ for the school.

The school council help to organise fundraising events. The school council members sometimes take part in interviewing potential new employees, this is a good experience for the children and ensures they have a voice in such important school decisions.
